Meet Our Staff
I am so excited to get started on this
journey together. James has told me of the legacy Miss Mary Hibbard left behind and I am very eager to continue in
the footsteps of that very important work. Like Mary, I am in the process of being ordained as a
Deacon in the UMC and feel called to the connection between our faith community and the community
around us. It is in those in-between spaces, and through interaction with those marginalized faces
that I have most often encountered the presence of God.
A little background on me- I grew up in Tustin and attended Aldersgate UMC. I graduated from
Beckman High School and went on to get my Bachelors in Sociology at California Lutheran University.
It was in college that I began to discern a call to ministry. I had some amazing professors and peers
walk with me through this journey. Eventually I ended up at Duke Divinity School in Durham, North
Carolina to obtain my Masters in Divinity!
I have been back on the west coast for a year now and miss my southern BBQ everyday. I have
been working as a Chaplain at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach in the Oncology, Hospice, Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit, and Labor and Delivery Units.
In my free time I love to travel, do yoga, play soccer, listen to and play music, read, and discuss
theology of any kind. I truly believe everybody has a gift God has given them to share with the
community and the world, and through my ministry here, I am excited to see how we can use our AUMC
gifts to better ourselves and the community around us!
