The IN-BETWEENERSIn-Betweeners is a fellowship group for those
past college age (30?), up to late 50’s(?). We don’t
care about your age as much as we care about
having fun and creating lasting friendships.
Our group meets the 4th Saturday of each month for fun activites and fellowship. Our next get-together will be April 22.

Disciple - Fast Track
A New Study
Over many years of
attending church, we have probably developed a loving but confused relationship
with the Christian Bible. I recall that as a youth, I would sit on a sofa in
our high school Sunday School class and wonder, “Why do we read this book again
and again? Surely we’ve got the point by now!”
Thankfully, the United
Methodist Church as a whole has awakened to the fact that many of its members
live with a mix of love and confusion for Christian scripture. In response,
some of our denomination’s brightest minds have assembled studies to
communicate to everyone all the good that the Good Book has to offer.
As of this year, a new
study called Disciple - Fast Track is available to serve as an excellent
Bible 101 to help clear up confusion and build our confidence as we
explore scripture's ancient truths side by side.
Wednesday, February 1, I'm planning to dedicate my Wednesday, 2:00
p.m. Pastor's Bible Study to the 12-week Disciple Fast Track study of
the New Testament. The class will be duplicated from 7:00-8:15pm each
The dates will be Wednesdays, February 1 - April 19.
This 12 week session
includes weekly readings, videos and it should leave us with a good grasp of
the New Testament.
you will, please call the Church Office (714) 776-5710 or email me at email@example.com if you’re interested, and which
time works best for you. I’m eager to get to know you better as we explore the richness
of the Word.
In God's great Love,

The Explorers meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Library.
In the next few weeks we will be starting a book titled The Gift Of Years, Growing Older Gracefully by Joan Chittister. We have come to know Joan Chittister as a remarkable and articulate
writer. Each of the 42 chapters is self-contained. Here is a sample of some of the chapters: The
Purpose of Life; Regret; Meaning; Fear; Ageism; Joy; Authority; Transformation; Newness;
Accomplishment; Possibility; Adjustment; Fulfillment; Mystery ;Relationships
Quote from Chittister’s chapter on Meaning: “ 'It is not by muscle, speed, or physical dexterity that
great things are achieved,’ Cicero wrote over two thousand years ago, ‘but by reflection, force of
character, and judgement. In these qualities, old age is usually not only not poorer, but is even richer.’
We invite you to join us! Questions? Talk to Mary Ann Jones or Loren Du Puy.
Studies are offered throughout the year, studying specific books of the
Bible, spiritual practices and topical studies.
Call the church office (714-776-5710) for information on current classes not listed here.
