Boy Scouts of America

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by

instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

CUB SCOUTS

Cub Scout Promise

I promise to do my best

To do my duty to God and my country,

To help other people, and

To obey the Law of the Pack.

BOY SCOUTS

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best
to do my duty to God and my country

and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong,

mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Boys 11-18 years old may join a Boy Scout Troop.
(If a Cub Scout has earned his Arrow of Light and is 10 years old, or if a boy has completed 5th grade and is 10,
he may join a Troop at that earlier age.)

Boy Scout Troop 79 is sponsored by the Anaheim United Methodist Men.
The Troop meets on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the East Building at church.
Please call Brett Gillespie (714-520-0747) for more information, or just bring your son to a meeting.

Girl Scouts of the USA

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The Girl Scout Promise and Law are shared by every member of Girl Scouting.
The Girl Scout Promise is the way Girl Scouts agree to act every day toward one another and other people,
and the Law outlines a way to act towards one another and the world.

The Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

The Girl Scout Law

I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
 respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
