Save the Date...
Women's Retreat
March 8-10, 2019
San Luis Rey Retreat Center
Old Mission San Luis Rey

Dear Church Women,

I’m excited to report that we have booked the location for our Women’s Retreat on March 8 - 10, 2019. It will be held at San Luis Rey Retreat Center in Oceanside. I have attended retreats there in the past and found the grounds and facilities amazing. It is amidst the beautiful grounds of Historic Old Mission San Luis Rey. In the spirit of St. Francis, they welcome all with hospitality, simplicity and joy. The Mission sits upon 56 beautifully landscaped acres so there is ample space to enjoy the quiet and peaceful gardens.

The difference other than location of this new retreat is that we will be spending two nights which includes 6 meals for only $220 per person. We hope with all this extra time to be able to have plenty of time for reflection or just enjoying the grounds. Since this is more than last year’s cost, we wanted to provide time to save for this event. Maybe skip that Starbucks drink? :) We have 9 months to save up, however, the church will still offer scholarships.

For those of you who cannot stay overnight we invite you to a day retreat on March 9, 2019. For those adventurous you may take the train down to Oceanside or we can arrange carpooling from the church. The cost for the day retreat including 2 meals will be $45.

We want to provide a time for all women of the church to be able to be refreshed in their spirits and join in the fun and laughter.

Nicole Armstrong and I would love any feedback on any ideas you have for themes. But I look forward to another invigorating time of laughter.

MJ Buist, Diaconal Minister

Buy SCRIP - Help Our Ministry and Mission

We encourage everyone to buy SCRIP before going to the store, out to eat, or making other purchases.  They make great gifts too.  It costs nothing extra to use SCRIP.  You pay for the gift cards, use them at full value, and the church earns a percentage of your purchase.  This is an effective and painless way to help church finances.
