COOKIES for KATELLA
 |
We
have so many of the Katella students passing through our campus each
day going to and from school. We talked for a long time about how we
might impact those children and show them the caring people of Anaheim
United Methodist Church. We decided to give homemade cookies away on
Friday afternoons as they went home from school.
So, in May 2011 The Circle of Hope
started a new project . . . "Cookies for Katella". Volunteers and
Pastor Rey pass out cookies to students on their way home. It has been
well received to say the least - We get lots of "thank yous", smiles and
even some hugs. This ongoing project continues throughout the school
year. We are out there the first and third Fridays of each month during
the school year.
If
you would like to help, we can use homemade cookies (we give out about
20 dozen out each Friday) - or - you can join us from 2:30-3:00 and I
assure you it will brighten your day and put a smile on your face.
