Mercy House - Cold Weather Emergency Shelter |
 The Cold Weather Emergency Shelter Program provides
up to 400 beds per night for the homeless in Orange County at the
National Guard Armories in Fullerton and Santa Ana during the cold winter months. The homeless
receive a nutritious meal, a warm shower, a safe
place to sleep, and access to valuable social services.
Volunteers are
needed to help with setting up tables and chairs, cleaning and putting
out the sleeping mats, assisting with client registration, setting out
snacks, passing out donations, serving dinner, and cleaning up.
Mercy House is now accepting SIGN-UPS to VOLUNTEER at the Cold Weather Emergency Shelter. There are three Opportunities to Help:
- Mornings from 5:00 - 7:00 am
- Evenings from 5:00 - 8:00 pm - or -
- Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 pm (for Mat Cleaning).
