Building for Tomorrow: $35,000 Goal

This year, we celebrated 50 years in this location as the Anaheim United Methodist Church. It is our hope that this place – which has meant so much to generations – will continue to serve as a blessing to the church and community over the next 50 years and beyond. To do that, we want to invest in our ability to offer hospitality, address some deferred maintenance, and make the upgrades that are necessary for ministry both today and into the future.

Our finance committee has been doing good work; but as we look over monthly reports of expenses and income, the cost of caring for our building in a basic way, let alone making the necessary improvements, these were not adequately reflected in this year’s budget. Adequate investment in building maintenance has not been sufficient for some time. They say information is power, and that is true in this case. First, now we know better how to make a realistic budget next year. Second, we know what we need to do in order to respond to God’s call to ‘reach out, serve, and invite with the love of Jesus Christ’ as a worshiping community, people in mission, and community gathering space in this corner of Anaheim. Our church campus is a resource, not a liability. It is worth investing in because the ministry and value offered here benefits our neighborhood, and helps us practice and grow in faith. For all of these reasons, we invite you to join us in our goal of raising $35,000 in this ‘Building for Tomorrow’ campaign. You can give in person, or on our website, and be sure to designate this campaign as the reason for your gift. Thank you for your generosity!
