Donations for Neighbors in Need Pantry

UPDATE: Look for the BLUE wagon in the Narthex- a new place to put donations for the AUMC Neighbors in Need pantry!

Shelf stable items are most needed at this time, including canned vegetables. Empty egg cartons are also very helpful, and so are men’s pants (smaller sizes- 32-36) and women’s pants (sizes 8 or 10).

Your continued support truly helps the pantry to provide for those in need in our community. Thank you!

Canned vegetables are needed for the Neighbors in Need Pantry. Each week we continue to see the impacts of the pandemic. Our community is still facing food insecurity. Many are working again but at reduced hours. While others still have been unable to secure jobs in the sectors where they have experience.

Until now, we have met the need with our grocery rescue program and our Second Harvest donations. But many programs associated with pandemic funding have concluded. Even though the funding has ended, the need has not. Please consider purchasing canned vegetables so that we can end food insecurity for our neighbors.

You may drop off donations in the bins in the fellowship hall lobby, or you may drop them off to the volunteers in the East Building Tuesdays from 9 am until 11 am, Wednesdays from 10 am until 12 pm, or Thursdays from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm.

Your donations of canned vegetables for the pantry will help us continue to meet the continued needs in our community. We are overjoyed to have a neighbor in the community who is supporting our pantry with dry goods. Read more here.

Thank you to those who have stopped by with donations. They are so very much appreciated!

Thank you from the Provisions Team and Neighbors in Need Pantry!
