“Glen David Jones was born in San Francisco CA, on July 29, 1933, to Jesse Dean Fly and Arthur Glen Jones. He grew up in King City, CA. He attended Cal Poly Technic at San Luis Obispo for his Bachelor’s degree and Cal State Fullerton for his Masters’s degree, both in Engineering. His time at Cal Poly was interrupted by 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. It was during those years in the Air Force that he discovered his future career as an Electronics Engineer.
Dave felt he had an interesting career being involved in many engineering experiences, but it was at Xerox where he spent his last 27 years as an engineer in research & development that he found great fulfillment. He had a very busy retirement with projects for his home, family, church, and Ann’s PEO group. Dave’s love was always expressed by doing or others. He loved his friends, his family, and his church.
Dave married Mary Ann Hickman on August 12, 1956. He is survived by his wife and his daughters Cathy Jones and Julie Ray and his son, Michael Jones; 3 granddaughters Madison, Cara & Bailey, and grandson Trent.
He was loved by many and will be remembered in our hearts forever as a loving husband, cherished father, and kind friend to those who knew him best. Until we meet again, God be with you always as your memory is with us always.”
