Tuesdays beginning July 6th | 6:30-8:00 pm | Bride's Room Narthex
On July 6th, we will begin our Ephesians Bible Study. We will be reading the book of Ephesians using The Believer’s Position and the Disciple’s Practice by Phil Brennan, Keith Dorricott, and Don Williamson to provide commentary.
The letter to the Church of Ephesus was written by Paul and outlines: what God has done for us and what God expects from us.
Pastor James will be preaching on several passages from Ephesians, so this will be a good supplemental study.
We will be meeting for six Tuesday evenings at 6:30 in the Library. Dates are: July 6, 13, 20, 27,August 3 & 10.
I look forward to doing a deep study of the book of Ephesians.
Here’s the link to the study guide we’ll be using;
If you cannot financially afford the book, the church would be happy to purchase a copy for you.
The epistle outlines:
• what God has done for us and what God expects from us
• Christian privilege and Christian responsibility
• the position of the believer and the practice of the disciple
• the doctrine of faith and the practice of faith
The first set of each of these couplets deals with matters of doctrine, theology, and privilege, and is found in Ephesians chapters 1–3. The second set deals with matters of practice and responsibility and is found in Ephesians chapters 4–6. This helpful study guide to Ephesians takes 13 modules to explore each section of the book, with thought-provoking questions following an insightful commentary. An appendix deals with some relevant topics, including God’s sovereignty, prayer, and the important difference between the church of God and the Church the Body of Christ. Ideal for group or personal study.”
This is a six-week study on the following Tuesdays:
- July 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th
- August 3rd & 10th
