Second Harvest delivers our weekly order that needs to be brought into pantry and stored as guided by Kathy Ramsey. We need volunteers for Tuesday to help with unloading, sorting and putting up the grocery pickups we have and our Second Harvest delivery. We’ll be starting at 10:00 am (this is subject to change, please look for the text from Sandie Duff for any adjustments to this start time) to give the packers, who will be starting at 8:30am, time to pack the boxes. They need to be unloaded, weighed, sorted and stored as needed. 8:30 am – 2:00 pm Thursday Morning Food Distribution: Neighbors Pantry Volunteer Team: Thursday Morning Food Distribution Distribution is from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. We ask that you arrive by 8:30 am. We do a quick briefing for the day and responsibilities. Upon completion of this briefing, you may begin the set-up of your food items at your assigned station. Volunteers may go through the line to shop. Please remember that you are asked not to shop during the distribution. If there is food remaining you will be told which remaining food is available to add to your box. After distribution, we clean up and break down. Set-up * Setup 9 white long tables in the correct locations * Setup 5 white pop-up tents over the distribution area * Setup 16 wagons and 2 white pop up tent over the wagon area * Assess all cold items in all locations (fridge and freezers: Pantry, East Building, and Church Kitchen) * Get all items in place for distribution under the guidance of Sandie, Bob, Lee, Kathy or Rebecca. Break-down * Sanitize all tables with cleaning solution and white rags available in the pantry * Put away all tables * Put away pop-up tents * Fold & put away wagons * Sweep floors * Mop as needed * Break-down any boxes * Bag up all trash and place in trash container * Put any items that could be used for the next distribution into the fridge or freezer (excluding bread & pastry) - 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm Shirts and Skirts
