Yippee! Apple pie making is back, and we have multiple ways you can help. We are in need of donated baking supplies as well as volunteers to help put the pies together.
In terms of supplies, we will need:
- white and brown sugar
- Crisco shortening
- cinnamon
- flour
- pie tins (without holes in them)
Any donations can be brought to the Church Office during the week (M-TH from 9am-3pm) or to church with you on Sunday mornings. Our apples have been donated by some of our members and they come from the Kiwanis Club.
As soon as we have supplies, we will meet to make the pies on Tuesday, October 25th from 8:30am-1pm. Sherry Hanberg will provide some muffins for those who come to help. If you would like to join Sherry to help make pies, please contact either the church office at (714) 776-5710, or Sherry directly at (714) 336-0620.
You will also have an opportunity to purchase an apple pie of your very own for $8 each. The monies from the sale of the pies helps to fund the Circle of Hope’s mission projects. If you would like to purchase an apple pie, please call the church office M-TH from 9am-3pm at (714) 776-5710 to reserve one.
