Reflection of the Week
Highlights of Worship: May 9th 2021
The focus of this Easter Season will be on becoming “Easter People.” As we spent the 6 weeks of Lent looking inward, we will spend the coming 7 weeks looking to the Risen Christ to re-shape how we live as disciples and as a church.
In times like these, and truly in every time, genuine friendship has the power to make life worth living. This Sunday our sermon series “Easter People” will explore Sacred Friendship. In John 15:12-17, Jesus calls his disciples “friends’” with God and with one another, reminding us that we depend on these connections to thrive and bear good fruit for others.
Please join us for worship, as friends in one Spirit, through the video recorded worship to be shared this Sunday, May 9th.
I look forward to worshiping with you!
Pastor James
Scripture Passages of the Week
John 15:12-17
‘This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants any longer, because the servant does not know what the master is doing; but I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from my Father. You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name. I am giving you these commands so that you may love one another.
