Provisions Dinner at Emmanuel House

Provisions (formerly Missions & Outreach) is excited about a new connection we have made with Emmanuel House. We made a meal and shared it with their residents on December 7th, 2019.

Emmanuel House is one of the homes managed by Mercy House. It houses those most vulnerable to homelessness due to health conditions.

In the past our church worked with the Interfaith Shelter Network managed by Mercy House. Since this program ended we have been seeking other ways to be involved with Mercy House.

Sandie Duff worked with Mercy House to figure out what we could do to support them. We decided on a meal for the residents of Emmanuel House. It is a permanent supportive housing community serving 21 residents.

It was such a fun evening. There were 7 folks from Provisions, 15 residents of the home, and the program lead from Mercy House. We enjoyed some amazing tamales thanks to Angela P (3rd from left in photo above).

We hope to make this a quarterly event and invite anyone interested in attending or helping provide other support to contact us via the groups page here on the website.

Thank you again to all who provided food (both those who could go as well as those who could not go), all who went, and thank you again to Sandie Duff (in the middle of photo above) for planning the event.
