Troop Christmas Stockings

What a blessing to be able to share some Christmas Cheer to US Service Members deployed overseas and away from their families.

Thank you for your support in sending troop Christmas stockings and cards to US Service Members stationed in Afghanistan. This could not have been possible without you. Our thanks go to all those that did the shopping, those that sent items via Amazon, those who made a monetary donation, those who wrote notes in Christmas cards, and all who lifted prayers for those serving overseas.

Together, we sent over 700 Christmas cards and 58 boxes (116 stockings) this special season. We surpassed last year’s giving! Amazing!

Thanks, Linda Oliver and Delta Kappa Gamma, Epsilon Lambada, for donating 28 stockings and postage for each one. Also, we received 20 stockings and postage from my grandchildren’s swim coach and several from my former Girl Scouts (Tori Sommerville, a former member of AUMC).

Once again, thank you for working with us to bring some Christmas cheer to our US Servicemembers deployed away from home! God Bless you!

If you didn’t get a chance to support our Christmas program, we continue to gather items for the monthly boxes. Feel free to click here to a previous article on how to purchase items for this vital ministry.
